Bloom With Hope Birthday

Hello stampers,
Happy 1st Monday of March! I'm really hoping that March will be more like a lamb versus the lion that February was, but so far I'm not seeing it, but am keeping fingers crossed as we are supposed to have 3 days this week that we will actually be above freezing, YAY! Bad though that one of those days it is supposed to rain, so can't wait to see what type of mess that brings with all the snow we have on the ground & on our roofs.
So I got to do some stamping last week with Kerri's group, I always enjoy my stamping days with others & I'll have another chance to do so at the end of this week. I was a bit busy this weekend to be able to stamp like I had hoped, so I will show off one of Kerri's cards that I made.
For this card, I got to try out the new chalkboard paper with the new chalk pads in the Occasions catalog, jury is still out on them, as I'm not sure I would really use them in my personal stamping when I can use Basic Black paper & I think heat embossing would make more of a difference. Never the less I still like the card & I know I can make it just with other stuff. We started off with Pink Pirouette Card Stock as the base of the card & 3rd layer. We then moved onto the Chalkboard Paper for the other 2 layers, the bigger piece we stamped the retired background stamp En Francais using the retired Illuminate Pad ( I so forgot about this pad, I need to go up & find it so I can use it!) the smaller piece we stamped the flowers from Bloom With Hope using the new Rose Coral Chalk Pad. We added the 1/4" Pink Pirouette Stitched Ribbon before assembling the card together.

~Enjoy
