Christmas 2020

Hello stampers,
I hope everyone had a great Christmas & a safe New Year. I took some time off with hubby home & also started to unpack some of the boxes for the rest of my stamp room & get all of that set up. It's only been what a year since we moved in?
Today I have 2 of the last Christmas cards to share with you, but just didn't ever get them scheduled. So please bear with me & who knows maybe they'll give you an idea for next year (gotta start early ya know!)
For the 1st card, there isn't a lot of stamping involved. Did you know that the Trimming The Town DSP can be used with the Home Together Dies that go with the Coming Home Stamp Set?  Using the dies I cut up a piece of the DSP until I couldn't do any more. So there was several variations of this card & the houses used. I started with a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock for the base & stamped it with a sentiment from the Wrapped In Christmas Stamp Set using Misty Moonlight Ink. Next, I used the Home Together Dies with the Big Shot to cut out the snow looking part. I also stamped the wreath from the Coming Home Stamp Set onto Whisper White Cardstock, colored it with Lt. Old Olive & Dk. Poppy Parade Blenders before die cutting them out. It truly is a simple card to make!

For the next card, I used the hostess set, A Merry Hello from the Holiday Catalog. I started the card with a Mossy Meadow Cardstock base, followed by a layer of Heartwarming Hugs DSP. Next, I stamped the 2 stocking pieces from A Merry Hello Stamp Set onto Very Vanilla Cardstock using Real Red Ink & Pear Pizzazz Ink, the sentiment was stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink then backed it using Real Red Cardstock.

Peace On Earth

Hello stampers,
Today's card uses 2 sets & I wanted to keep it pretty simple to have the stamped items shine & stand out. I think this is yet another quick & simple card that you can do on an assembly line if you were to make a lot of one card.
I started off with a Misty Moonlight Cardstock base, followed by a layer of Balmy Blue Cardstock that I ran through the Big Shot using the Subtle TIEF to give the card some texture. Next, I stamped the globe from the Beautiful World Stamp Set using Smoky Slate Ink on Whisper White Cardstock & then stamped the sentiment from the Dove Of Hope Stamp Set using Misty Midnight Ink before punching out the globe using the retired 1-3/4" Circle Punch & backing it with Misty Midnight Cardstock that was punched out using the 2" Circle Punch. For the dove, I stamped the dove from the Dove Of Hope Stamp Set using Misty Moonlight Ink on Whisper White Cardstock then die cut it out using the Big Shot & the Detailed Dove Dies. I finished the card by adding Stampin' Dimensionals to the dove before adding it to the card.

Poinsettia Petal Wishes

Hello stampers,
I can't believe this week is Christmas, did you get everything you needed done? I finally finished all my cards & got them in the mail Thursday of last week. Yes, I know I cut it close that seems to be my theme lately.
For today's card, I used Real Red Cardstock as the base, followed by a layer of the Poinsettia Place DSP. Next, I used the Big Shot to cut out a label from the Stitched Nested Label Dies using Whisper White Cardstock, then used a sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set & stamped it using Real Red Ink. For the poinsettia, I used the Big Shot again with the Poinsettia Dies the poinsettia using Real Red Cardstock, the leaves using Garden Green Cardstock & the center of the poinsettia along with the thing-a-bobs (HAHA I have no idea what they are called) using the gold paper in the Brushed Metallic Cardstock.

Season's Greetings Pines

Hello stampers,
Please tell me I'm not the only one still working on Christmas cards? I used to be so good getting them made& mailed early, but more & more I'm struggling to get them mailed out the week before.  Today's card was cased from Shelly Godby who had posted it on a FB group but has a video on her blog. This would be another easy card to make many of, if you like using your Big Shot.
I started with a Shaded Spruce Cardstock base (really like this green color) & dry embossed it with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I stamped the small trees from the In The Pines Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce Ink followed by one of the greetings from the set using Cherry Cobbler Ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock which I then backed it with a Cherry Cobbler Cardstock layer. I used the Big Shot to diecut the tree from the Pine Woods Dies & attached it to the Very Vanilla layer to finish the card.
I'm off to make more Christmas cards...anyone want to help me finish? HAHA

Autumn Birthday

Hello stampers,
Well, it's been awhile since I posted but I finally stamped a card for my mom's birthday. Now, I need to collect some more mojo so I can start Christmas cards started so I could perhaps have them done more than a week before Christmas.
For this card, I started with a Cajun Craze Cardstock base, followed by a a Whisper White Cardstock background layer where I used the Buffalo Check Stamp with Cajun Craze Ink. To make it more plaid looking, I used Stampin' Blends- Lt. Rich Razzleberry, Lt. Old Olive, Lt. Daffodil Delight & Lt. Pumpkin Pie. I then stamped the bouquet from Autumn Greetings Stamp Set from the new mini catalog using Memento Black Ink & then die cut it using the Big Shot & Autumn Essentials Dies. I then used Stampin' Blends- Lt./Dk. Daffodil Delight, Lt./Dk. Pumpkin Pie, Lt. Crumb Cake, Lt. Mossy Meadow, Lt./Dk. Old Olive, Lt. Rich Razzleberry, Lt./Dk. Mango Melody, Lt. Cajun Craze. I attached the die cut using Stampin' Dimensionals.
