Hello stampers,
Welcome back to another week of BSU challenges. This week our challenge is all about the stamp set Timeless Textures. I think this might become a very useful set in the future, really easy to frame a card, add texture & do a background with.
For this card, I used Soft Sky Card Stock for the base followed by a layer of Basic Black Card Stock. For the main stamped piece I used Whisper White Card Stock, stamped a frame along the outside using the Timeless Textures Stamp Set in Soft Sky Ink, along with using the swirl from the same set in Memento Black Ink. Next, I used the SAB set called Sky Is The Limit to stamp the airplane in Memento Black Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock then fussy cut it out & popping it up using Stampin' Dimensionals; the sentiment also in the same ink, then punched it out using the Large Oval Punch, then backed this with Soft Sky Card Stock punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch; then stamped the clouds from this set in Soft Sky Ink.
Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.

Hello stampers,
This week on BSU Challenges is Technique Week & we decided to do the Triple Time Stamping Technique. What is Triple Time Stamping? Well, you are stamping on 3 different sizes of card stock (2x3.25, 3x4.25, 4x5.25) at the same time then backing with 1/4" sized larger layer.
For today's card, I decided to use the Sale-A-Bration set What I Love, with a tried & true color combo for a swap I host every year on VC Rocks called Ebony & Ivory. For my card I used Vanilla Card Stock with the layers & card base of Basic Black. For the stamping portion I used Smoky Slate Ink & Memento Black Ink. I like this classic look that this combo gives. Hope you like it too!

Hello stampers,
WOW, it has been a busy start to the year! Sorry for the lack of posts, I'm not getting a lot of stamping done these days & then my mom came out for a visit, then got snowed in due to Snowmagedon 2016 hitting Baltimore. Hope everyone fared well, it stayed south & east of us which was good after the 3 days of accumulating snow we had before that.
So I missed last week's color challenge but am still hoping to make it up. This week it is all about the Botanicals For You Stamp Set in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Besides me having to pick items out of the catalog I'm not exactly sure why I got this set, maybe I thought it would be easy to use but my mind pretty much went blank last night while working on some ideas. I ended up doing a birthday themed card. To start the card I used Basic Black Card Stock for the base of the card, followed by It's My Party DSP. Next I took a 2 1/4" piece of Whisper White Card Stock, fussy cut the banner end & stamped the sentiment from the Botanicals For You Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink. To finish I stamped the cupcake from Party Wishes Stamp Set in Mint Macaron, Crushed Curry & Melon Mambo Ink, punched them out using the Party Punch Pak then popped them up using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Hello stampers,
Happy New Year my dear stamping friends! I hope your first few days of the New Year have been good so far, mine have been busy, busy! I really hope at some point that things will let up a little so my mojo will return on a regular basis & not just in spurts.
Today's BSU challenge is all about Sale-A-Bration, have you had a chance to look at this or the new Occasions Mini that started yesterday? I see lots of spring in the air with these catalogs which is somewhat good, because I can think pastels, flowers, butterflies instead of blistery cold & winter white snow. For this challenge I decided to use the Flowering Fields Stamp Set. I also decided for some reason that a tag would go well with this card, so I ended up stamping the dandelions twice with Memento Black Ink, used the Scallop Top Punch to punch the top of my Whisper White Card Stock then added Whisper White Cotton Ribbon to finish off the tag. I colored the dandelions in with Soft Sky & Pear Pizazz Marvelous Markers. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Express Yourself Stamp Set which after putting the card together I realized was retired (OOPSIE!) in Memento Black Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock which I then used the Banner Punch to punch each end, this was followed by a Soft Sky Card Stock strip that was punched using the Triple Banner Punch. For the background paper I used Wildflower Fields DSP, which I sponged using Soft Sky & Pear Pizazz Ink. For the final parts of the card the DSP was followed by a layer of Pear Pizazz Card Stock & for the base of the card I used Soft Sky Card Stock.
