Follow Your Dreams With Lets Set Sail

Hello stampers,
Today's card is from a Creativate Spring Pre-Challenge, still getting some last-minute cards in using retiring supplies. I was thinking this could be a good masculine graduation card.
Since I wanted a masculine type card, I chose to use the retiring Let's Set Sail Stamp Set, using Night Of Navy, Soft Suede & Sahara Sand Ink Pads to stamp the boat, water & birds. I then used a Blending Brush to add some Balmy Blue Ink for the sky, this was then die-cut out using the Layering Circle Dies. I used the retiring Through It Together Stamp Set for the sentiment using Night Of Navy Ink on Basic White Cardstock, then used my Paper Snips to cut it down a bit. I chose to add a bit of texture by using the retired Subtle Embossing Folder (I will NEVER get rid of this!) I then attached the strip of Night Of Navy Cardstock to the base, I also attached the sentiment to the stamped image using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then attached Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to the stamped image & sentiment before attaching them to the card base. Lastly, I added a few retiring Faux Sea Glass rocks to finish the card.

Paper Measurements-
  • Basic White Cardstock:
    • Base - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
    • Layer- 3 x 3
    • Sentiment- 1/2 x 2 1/2
  • Night Of Navy Cardstock:
    • Layer - 1 x 3 5/8

Tassel Time Congrats

Hello stampers,
I had to dig deep for today's card, I don't have any current graduation sets & lucky I kept 1 old one to make this card.
For this card, I brought back the retired Tassel Time Stamp Set. I stamped the hat & diploma using Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, for the confetti I used Real Red Ink. I then colored in the hat with the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends, before attaching it to a layer of Real Red Cardstock & then Basic White Cardstock base. On the base I then used the class of from the same set, coloring it with a Real Red Stampin' Marker, so as not to bleed through the cardstock. The numbers came from the retired Alphabet Attitude Numbers Stamp Set & were stamped using Real Red & Memento Black Ink.

Happy Graduation!

Hello stampers,
Today's been a difficult day for me as I lost my dad 10 months ago, so this was another first without him & it seemed a bit strange. I really haven't stamped a lot since his passing & when I have it's been a lot of CASEing none of my original ideas. While I wasn't able to make a card for my FIL I have managed to get 2 cards done.
Today's card was for a graduation of a kid I've known for 10 years. This was a simple card to make I used her school colors which I figured were Basic Black & Real Red. I used the retired Large Letter Alphabet Dies to cut out the letters from her school out of Real Red Cardstock, placing the cut out piece over Basic Black Cardstock. Once I assembled the card I propped up each letter using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I had to figure out how to make either a diploma (which failed) or grad hat since all my retired stamps are still boxed up. I ended finding a great video online, however, I didn't save it before writing up this post. It's been a long time since I have done punch art & the punch I used is the Tailored Tag Punch. I really hope she likes the card!
