Stamp Review Crew - Sale A Bration #2

Hello stampers,

Today we have a bonus blog hop for the Stamp Review Crew giving you additional ideas for Sale-A-Bration. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who share different ideas made with the featured stamp set. Remember, Sale-A-Bration ends on Thursday!

For today's card, I'm using the Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set which comes in a bundle that includes an embossing folder for any orders $100 (US) or above. I used Basic White & Old Olive Cardstocks with Subtles DSP. For the focal point, I die-cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock with the Countryside Corner Dies, stamped it using Highland Heather & Old Olive Ink Pads, and added some Linen Thread. The focal point was added to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. For the final touch, I added a few Iridescent Rhinestones to the flowers & a few on the background.

Botanical Layers - Thinking Of You

Hello stampers,

I had a bit of fun playing with a set that is in the Annual Catalog, but is currently a FREE item for Sale-A-Bration.

I don't really gravitate to purples, but I decided to try my hand at using 3 of them in this card. I started with a Basic White Cardstock layer then stamped the floral looking stamp in the Botanical Layers Stamp Set using the thumping technique which is coloring the stamp with a light color then thumping other colors using Stampin' Write Markers on top. For this technique, I used Highland Heather & Old Olive as the base then thumped Gorgeous Grape & Blackberry Bliss on top before gluing it to a Blackberry Bliss Cardstock layer. I really like using this technique on trees for a "fall" look. I also used a sentiment from the set using Gorgeous Grape Ink on Basic White Cardstock which I punched out with a retired 1 1/4" Circle Punch & then adhered it to a Blackberry Bliss Cardstock that I punched out with a retired 1 3/8" Scalloped Circle Punch. Next, I took a layer of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock & embossed it using the Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing Folder which is part of a Sale-A-Bration bundle that is FREE with a $100 order. To assemble, I used Highland HeatherCardstock for the base, followed by the embossed layer down the center, the stamped image & sentiment were then added using Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly, I added a few Purple Shimmer Gems to finish off the card.

Everyday Details - Congratulations

Hello stampers,

Today's card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches #622 sketch challenge using the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards & Envelopes which is FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order.

I started my card with a layer of Basic White Cardstock that I stamped with the floral arrangement from the Everyday Details Stamp Set using Memento Black Ink, then colored it in using Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight & Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. Next, I took a die from the Scalloped Contour Dies to die-cut a small piece of Pretty Peacock Cardstock before gluing it to the back of the stamped image, which was then glued to the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Card (Calypso Coral.) For the sentiment, I used the Wonderful Thoughts Bundle with Basic White Cardstock & Pretty Peacock Ink then popped it up with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I don't usually look at the Memories & More stuff, but they make it easy if you're short on time to make a card.
