Playful Ghosts - Trick Or Treat

Hello stampers,

I'm not much of a Halloween person but the Playful Ghosts were too cute to pass up. Today's card was made using Freshly Made Sketches #658.

I started by die-cutting a layer of Basic White Cardstock with the Perennial Postage Dies in 3 different sizes, before stamping with Memento Black Ink- the ghosts & sentiment from the Playful Ghosts Stamp Set. I used Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive & Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to color in the images, then applied Wink Of Stella to the ghosts themselves. I popped each of the die-cut images up using Stampin' Dimensionals. For the base, I used Basic White Cardstock, then layered a piece from the retired Cute Halloween DSP, before adding the images. Lastly, I added a few Sparkle Gems to complete the card.

Paper Measurements-

  • Basic White Cardstock:
    • Base - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
    • Layer - 4 x 5
  • Cute Halloween DSP:
    • Layer - 4 1/8 x 5 3/8

Pick Of The Patch- Happy Halloween

Hello stampers,

How many of you make Halloween cards? It's not a holiday I usually make cards for, except if I find a cute set in the mini catalogs.

I'm once again making a card with the Pick Of The Patch Stamp Set, but now that I'm looking at it, the tree looks a little weird like it doesn't belong, maybe it's just me. I used Basic Black Cardstock for the base with a layer of Pumpkin Pie that I stamped with the Sketched Plaid Background using Memento Black Ink. I die-cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock with Stylish Shapes Dies, then stamped everything using Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie & Memento Black Inks, this was then popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a few black Sparkle Gems to finish the card.

Paper Measurements-

  • Basic Black Cardstock:
    • Base - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
  • Pumpkin PieCardstock:
    • Layer - 4 x 5 1/2
  • Basic White Cardstock:
    • Layer - 4 x 1

September Paper Pumpkin - Spooky Treats

Hello stampers,
I'm a little behind on Paper Pumpkins & Kits, so for today I'll be sharing the September Paper Pumpkin. As I've mentioned before I'm not big on Halloween, I do have a few sets & of course, DSP as that can be used more than just for 1 holiday.
I do think that these treat boxes are cute though I must admit it took me a bit to figure out the correct way to fold the inside boxes.
As my alternative for this Paper Pumpkin, I made a card. I looked in my DSP stash & found Frightful Sight which is retired but it's at least Halloween related. LOL! The DSP I used as a layer on top of Basic White Cardstock. I used the ghost from the set in the PP, stamping it with Memento Black Ink onto Basic White Cardstock and then layering it on Basic Black Cardstock. For the sentiment, I used the Craft White Ink Pad to stamp onto Basic Black Cardstock, then used the white from the Basics Embossing Powders to emboss using the Heat Tool & the Embossing Additions Tool Kit then used the Banners Pick A Punch on either end before popping it up using Stampin' Dimensionals.

WCMD 2022

Hello stampers,
Did you get a chance to join Stampin' Up! WCMD event on Saturday? I did but I pretty much only got 3 cards done all day, only 2 were part of the event & the 3rd was a sample. If you didn't get a chance to watch it, you still can until the 18th of October here. Once you are there you can download the resources provided so you get all the measurements & everything used then watch the video.
So the 1st 2 cards are 2 of the 3 cards we made during the event, I didn't buy the bundle for the 3rd card so it gave me extra time to finish my cards. The only change I made was to the wreath card on the right I decided to use the pine needle stamp instead of the berries on the Crumb Cake Cardstock.
For the next card, I actually made the sample card that Shannon West showed. I believe I used more than the 10 spiders she used but the easiest way I could make more of a rounded wreath was to place 4 main spiders on each side of the paper than fill in with 2 additional spiders using Memento Black Ink. I used Orchid Oasis & Parakeet Party for the Cardstock which was also different than hers. This is about as Halloweenish I get since I don't really send Halloween cards out.
