Fragrant Flowers Hello Sketch

Hello stampers,
While I was looking for inspiration I came across Melva Peters sketch on her FB group & thought I'd give it a try.
I started my card with a Blackberry Bliss Cardstock base followed by the retired Favored Flowers DSP. The next 2 layers were Fresh Freesia & Basic White Cardstocks. For the stamped image, I used the Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set with Blackberry Bliss Ink on Basic White Colorstock, coloring the rose in with Fresh Freesia & Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends Combo Packs this was then layered on top of the same DSP except it was the back side. The sentiment was also from this set stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink on Basic White Cardstock then around the edges I ran Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Combo Pack to separate it a bit from the background then popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish the card, I placed a few of 2021-23 In Color Opal Rounds.

Farewell Best Day

Hello stampers,
How many of you organized your retiring supplies this weekend? I did & by the time I had gotten to the paper I thought I was losing my mind. I could of sworn I removed the full packs of paper from their shelf & when I was looking for them I couldn't find them anywhere, that is until I looked on the shelf again. Oh lordie! So the Creativate Spring is just around the corner & today's card is part of the pre-challenges they do, which is a fun fold.
I chose to use the retiring Best Day Stamp Set, stamping the birthday cake onto Basic White Cardstock with Smoky Slate Ink which was then adhered to a layer of retiring Polished Pink Cardstock. I colored it in using Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink (retiring) & Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. On the Fresh Freesia Cardstock, I stamped the sparklers & confetti using Fresh Freesia Ink, which was then adhered to a layer of Polished Pink Cardstock. Once I was done with the whole card I attached a few 2021-23 In Color Opal Rounds.

For the inside, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere just the edges of the Fresh Freesia Cardstock to make a pocket for the little card inside, which used Basic White & Polished Pink Cardstock with Polished Pink Ink.

Paper Measurements-
  • Polished Pink Cardstock:
    • Base - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
    • Layer - 3 1/4 x 3 3/4
    • Layer - 3 1/2 x 4 1/4
  • Fresh Freesia Cardstock:
    • Layer - 8 1/2 x 5 1/4
  • Basic WhiteCardstock:

    • Layer - 3 1/4 x 4

Happy Easter, Easter Bunny

Hello stampers,
I made today's card with the help of 2 challenges- a sketch by Hand Stamped Sentiments & the theme from The Paper Players. I'm not sure I've ever done 2 challenges at once but you have to start somewhere right?
I started with the sketch part & wondered what I could do with the shape I know it can be an interpretation but my thoughts went to a retired die set from the last mini Window Dies & die-cut a Basic White Cardstock shape. I then used one of the bunnies from the Easter Bunny Stamp Set with Crumb Cake Ink, then colored it in using Crumb Cake & Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. Next, I stamped the eggs on a scrap of Basic White Cardstock with Crumb Cake Ink, then colored them in using Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends Combo Packs, I also stamped the grass using Mint Macaron Ink on Mint Macaron Cardstock then fussy cut the blades using Paper Snips before layering both the eggs & grass on top of the bunny using Multipurpose Glue. For what I call the shelf, I used Crumb Cake Cardstock that I adhered to the back of the stamped image & then wrapped Crumb Cake twine from the Baker's Twine Essential Pack. For the card layers, I used the Country Gingham DSP, layered on top of  Basic White Cardstock and then on top of a Crumb Cake Cardstock base. The stamped image was then popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals before attaching it to the card. One of the sentiments from the set was stamped using Crumb Cake Ink.

Paper Measurements-
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock:
    • Base – 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
    • Shelf - 1/2 x 3
  • Basic White Cardstock:
    • Layer – 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
    • Layer - 4 x 2 1/2
    • Eggs - 1 x 2
  • Mint Macaron Cardstock:
    • Layer – 1/2 x 2 1/4
  • Country Gingham DSP:
    • Layer – 4 x 5 1/4

Fragrant Flowers - Happy Birthday

Hello stampers,
Today's card was inspired by the newest Freshly Made Sketches #573 sketch & a set from the new mini catalog.
I started with the bouquet stamp from the Fragrant Flowers Bundle using Smoky Slate Ink on Basic White Cardstock then die-cut it using the Fragrant Flowers Dies. I colored this die-cut using Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya & Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. I made a strip from Granny Apple Green Cardstock to have a background for the vertical Pale Papaya & Fresh Freesia Cardstock strips. For the sentiment, I used the Cottage Rose Stamp Set with Fresh Freesia Ink on Basic White Cardstock, then used the Banners Pick A Punch on one end. I attached everything to a Basic White Cardstock base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then added a few 2021-23 In Color Opal Rounds.

Paper Measurements-
  • Basic White Cardstock:
    • Base – 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
  • Granny Apple Green Cardstock:
    • Layer – 2 1/4 x 5 1/2
  • Pale Papaya Cardstock:
    • Strips –(6) 1/2 x 2
  • Fresh Freesia Cardstock:
    • Strips –(5) 1/2 x 2

Easter Bunny- Enjoy All The Little Moments

Hello stampers,
Last night as I was getting ready to write this post, I realized while I have a card ready for my husband from this month's Paper Pumpkin I wasn't thinking about the day when I made today's card. OOPS! I again used a tutorial from Creativate Winter to make a gate fold card.
I started with another idea in mind for this card but changed it up when it wouldn't work with this particular layout. I started with a Basic White Cardstock card front, and layered it with 2021-23 In Color 6x6 DSP (Fresh Freesia). I then used the Baker's Twine Essential Pack (White) to wrap it around a strip of Basic White Cardstock then added a little bow to the side. For the gate fold, I used Basic White Cardstock as the base then layered both the inside & outside of the gate folds with 2021-23 In Color 6x6 DSP (Pale Papaya). For the bunny portion, I used Shimmery White Cardstock, punched the heart with the Heart Punch Pack, then colored it using Fresh Freesia Ink with a Blending Brush. I stamped the bunny from the Easter Bunny Stamp Set with Soft Suede Ink, then colored him in using Soft Suede & Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends Combo Packs, then used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the bunny in the center of the heart, this was then attached to a layer of Basic White Cardstock using Stampin' Dimensionals. For the sentiment, I used the Easter Bunny Stamp Set with Soft Suede Ink & attached it to the back of the bunny layer & to the front leaving about 1/4" from the banner end. The other piece of the strip was added to the back of the gate fold part before being attached, this will help keep the card closed.
