Simply Succulent Fun

Hello stampers,
So I got caught up in trying to put my stamp room together, after procrastinating for a bit. But all the furniture is now in its place so I should be able to start unpacking more boxes. For the last few days I've been going through my wood stamps to see if I really still need them all & putting them into wood boxes like we used to sell vs the clam shells they originally came in, that's going to be a job in of itself. Wish me luck!
Today's cards are the last set of cards we made for the virtual stamping day & were a bit more work as they were supposed to be watercolored, however, I'm not good at watercoloring with aqua painters & am somewhat ok using the blending pens. So I made it easier on myself to color with Stampin' Blends instead, but I still need to finish 2 cards up so I can show later this week fingers crossed.
For these cards we used the Simply Succulents Stamp Set, Potted Succulent Dies & I also added the Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set for some of the sentiments along with Old World 3D-EF & the Subtle 3D-EF. For the stamped parts, I used Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock coloring with Lt & Dk Old Olive, Dk. Rich Razzleberry, Lt Soft Sea Foam, Lt. Daffodil Delight, Lt. Bermuda Bay & Lt. Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends. For the cardstock, we used Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow & Garden Green.

Sweet Ice Cream Fun #1

Hello stampers,
Sharing another sample set from the virtual stamp day on Saturday. The Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set is a newer set for me but is still one that I haven't put any ink to until Saturday. The one thing that didn't dawn on me until that day is that the popsicle has to be fussy cut as it isn't covered by the punch that goes with the set, at least it wasn't hard to cut like some others.
For these cards we used Bumblebee, Early Espresso, Cinnamon Cider, Bermuda Bay, Terracotta Tile & Blackberry Bliss Inks. Cardstock colors were Kraft, Early Espresso, Bermuda Bay, Bumblebee, Blackberry Bliss & Whisper White.
For the sentiment on this card I split the Happy Birthday so that it was stacked instead of a line. Be careful to make sure you don't get any part of the B with the happy, I just cleaned the B to make sure there was no ink on it.

These popsicles remind me of the multi-colored ones we had as kids. These were fun cards to make but took some time having to punch out so much stuff.

Pretty Perennials #2

Hello stampers,
I hope today is another day that will inspire you to create. I really needed that virtual stamp day to put me in the stamping mood.
For today's cards, we used the Pretty Perennials Stamp Set & Happy Thoughts Stamp Set from my virtual stamp day. They use Memento Black, Magenta Madness, Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Misty Moonlight & Just Jade in both ink & Cardstock.

I'll be sharing another set of cards we made using the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set next week.

Pretty Perennials Fun #1

Hello stampers,
What did y'all do for fun this weekend? I got to STAMP!! I attended a virtual stamp day hosted by Jackie Bolhuis on Saturday & came away with lots of cards & perhaps templates to use in the future. This is the most stamping I've done in a very long time & boy do I miss it. It makes stamping so much easier when someone else does all the work & all you have to do is put ink to paper.
These cards were made using the Pretty Perennials Stamp Set that I haven't gotten around to using yet. It's a nice set, if you like florals. They also use the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set, which is the set Jackie designed as a Million Dollar Achiever. I also like that besides Memento Black, these cards used In Color Inks & Cardstock- Bumblebee, Magenta Madness, Just Jade & Cinnamon Cider. These card designs were so easy & can be used with pretty any set you could think of. I also like how you can do more things with the punch Tailored Tag Punch by cutting it down the middle.

I hope you enjoyed today's cards, I have a few more to show using this set in the next few days!

Art Gallery Thanks

Hello stampers,
I made this card earlier in the week for a friend, but had to wait until it was received to post it. For this card I used the Art Gallery Stamp Set in the new mini catalog, I've always loved the 2-step sets so this was a definite to get for me.
I started the card off with a Gorgeous Grape Cardstock base, followed by a layer of the upcoming (new main catalog) Subtles DSP. I then used the Stitched Nested Label Dies to die cut a pieces of Whisper White Cardstock. I then used Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape & Granny Apple Green Inks to stamp the flower from the Art Gallery Stamp Set. The sentiment is also from this set & I used Memento Black Ink.

Lily Impressions 4-step cards

Hello stampers,
So I decided to take a break from unpacking my stamp room today to do a few cards after I watched a video yesterday from Sara Douglas, you can watch it HERE about how she makes quick cards. I don't do note cards, so the cards I made are all full sized. I'm trying to use up retired DSP instead of just collecting it, believe me I have a bunch of old stuff that are still in the boxes outside.
For these 4 cards, I used Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo & Granny Apple Green Cardstock for both the bases & the sentiments. I also used the retired Lily Impressions DSP. The only stamping I did on these cards are the sentiments where I used the Many Messages Stamp Set with Memento Black Ink then cut them out using the Messages Die & the Big Shot. Now when I first saw this stamp in the catalog I didn't realize it was one big stamp like a background stamp but it works great with the die & you get a whole bunch of sentiments cut out at once that you can save for another card in the future. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up each sentiment & although you can't see it on the Flirty Flamingo card I actually used some retired metallic thread. I'm not really good at looping that stuff but it turned out ok.

Dragonfly Garden Birthday

Hello stampers,
Today's card uses some of the leftover papers that I had after making the 3 cards from the On Stage event along with picking up a sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches #460. I've needed some time to get back to enjoying stamping & I hope with finding some challenges will help. I also still have to get to Christmas cards started let alone done.
The card starts with a Misty Moonlight Cardstock base, where I stamped the dragonfly cluster on the diagonal also using Misty Moonlight Ink. For the banner, I used the Dandy Garden DSP 6x6 & cut it freehand since I don't have a banner die unpacked. I used a strip of Whisper White Cardstock stamping the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight Ink. Lastly, I stamped one of the dragonflies in the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight Ink & punched it out using the Dragonfly Punch.

On Stage at Home

Hello stampers,
So I was able to attend my first SU! On Stage or Convention in the 20 years I've been with the company.
I didn't get to walk across the stage but on Thursday I was recognized for my 20 years! Talking to another demo friend she was loving all the covers of the old catty's. I had to confess that I have one of each for 21 years & then 1 or 2 from a few years before I even heard of Stampin' Up! thanks to another demo friend a long time ago who gave me those. It's nice to see all the changes this company has made!
So yesterday, we got to make 3 cards using a new set coming out in the Jan-Jun catalog called Dragonfly Garden. I LOVE, LOVE Dragonflies so wasn't about to miss this set & it comes with a dragonfly punch. WOOT WOOT!
Aren't these gorgeous? The colors used were Blackberry Bliss, Smoky Slate, Mossy Meadow, Bumblebee, Misty Moonlight & Memento Black, along with the Dandy Garden 6x6 DSP. Also as an attendee I got to pre-order from a select list early so can't wait to get that.
