Mixed Florals - Happy Mother's Day

Hello Stampers,
I hope all the mother's had a great day yesterday. Last week, my mojo had a few problems inspiring the creative side of the brain, but I did manage to get a Mother's Day card made just in time for my mom.

I used the Mixed Floral Bundle, stamping one of the flower images onto Basic White Cardstock using Memento Black Ink, then die-cutting it out before coloring it using Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue & Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. Next, I took a layer of Balmy Blue Cardstock die-cut the middle using the Everyday Arches Dies, then used the retired Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. I glued the floral image to the inside bottom of the arch then allowed it to peep outside of it before attaching a piece of the Beautiful Bokeh DSP behind it, this was then glued to a Balmy Blue Cardstock base. I used a sentiment from the retired All Holidays Stamp Set, then fussy cut around it before adding Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up from the card. Lastly, I added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies to finish the card.

Simply Zinnia - Happy Mother's Day

Hello stampers,

I hope all the mothers out there had a wonderful day yesterday. Today, I'm sharing the card I made my mom, which is the 1st card I've made in 5 days due to all the sensory problems I've been having since last week. I've had so much fun, enough to earn myself a few specialist referrals to see if they can figure out what is going on. The joys of getting old I guess!

I started with a piece of Basic White Cardstock, stamping the floral bunch from the Simply Zinnia Stamp Set with Memento Black Ink, then coloring the image using Petal Pink, Melon Mambo, Real Red, Daffodil Delight & Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends Combo Packs before die-cutting the image with the Simply Zinnia Dies. Next, I used the Deckled Rectangles Dies to die-cut a layer of Basic White Cardstock that I embossed using the retired Basics 3D Embossing Folders, then adhered the stamped image to this layer. I embossed a layer of Petal Pink Cardstock with the Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder, before adhering it to a Petal Pink Cardstock base & then adding the focal point to the card. For the sentiment, I used the retired Marigold Moments Stamp Set, using Memento Black Ink on Petal Pink Cardstock, and then used the Paper Snips to fussy cut the banner ends. Now, I wanted the sentiment to have a movement look, so I popped up the middle part with Stampin' Dimensionals & Multipurpose Liquid Glue down the ends. To finish the card, I added a few retired Elegant Faceted Gems.

Blessings Of Home Mother's Day

Hello stampers,
Today I'm sharing the card I made my mom for Mother's Day. I CASEd this card from Amy Koenders but changed up a few things.
I started the card with retired Misty Moonlight Cardstock, then did a full layer of the retired Heart & Home DSP. For the floral piece, I used the Blessings of Home Stamp Set first stamping it with Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock then coloring it in using retired Misty Moonlight & Seaside Spray, along with current Soft Succulent & So Saffron Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. I then cut out using Flowers From Home Dies. For the sentiment, I used Basic White Cardstock with the Happy & Heartfelt Stamp Set stamping with Misty Moonlight Ink then punched the ends using the Lovely Labels Punch. I added 2 Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels before attaching them to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Mother's Day Floral

Hello stampers,
I hope all the mothers had a very special day yesterday. Today's post will be a little longer & have more pics than one of my usual posts because it turned out to be more than I had envisioned.
So I decided that I wanted to color some die cuts like I had seen Brandy Cox do in a YouTube video a few weeks back. I chose to use the Many Layered Blossoms Die Set for this card. I started with Basic White Cardstock then cut out the detailed die & colored it using Lt. Polished Pink, Dk. Pale Papaya, Lt. Daffodil Delight & Lt./Dk. Old Olive Stampin' Blends.
My 1st intention was to back this up with the thicker background die using Basic Black Cardstock. But then I showed it to a stamping friend who I should try it with Basic White Cardstock then color it in with darker shades. Of course, my friend just laughed at me cuz she knew that meant a little bit more work for me than my original idea.
So below left is the finished product of coloring the background using Dk. Polished Pink, Dk. Pumpkin Pie, Dk. Old Olive, Lt. Mossy Meadow & Lt. Melon Melody. The picture to the right is both pieces together & my friend was right as this was what I went with in the end. Before running the detail die through the Big Shot I attached it to Adhesive Sheets so that it would be easier to mount. Of course, I remembered to do that after coloring this piece the 1st time so I had to redo it HAHA!
Next, I had to make a decision on what color background I was going to attach this to. Basic White was good but it just didn't make it stand out.
So I mounted my dies to Basic Black Cardstock then added that to a Polished Pink Cardstock base. I added some bling by adding Basic Rhinestones. I finished the card by punching out Daffodil Delight Cardstock using the retired Washi Label Punch & using the Timeless Tulip Stamp Set for the sentiment with Memento Black Ink. Now, to figure how to use the black background piece for another card.
