Hello stampers,
I hope all the mothers out there had a wonderful day yesterday. Today, I'm sharing the card I made my mom, which is the 1st card I've made in 5 days due to all the sensory problems I've been having since last week. I've had so much fun, enough to earn myself a few specialist referrals to see if they can figure out what is going on. The joys of getting old I guess!
I started with a piece of Basic White Cardstock, stamping the floral bunch from the Simply Zinnia Stamp Set with Memento Black Ink, then coloring the image using Petal Pink, Melon Mambo, Real Red, Daffodil Delight & Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends Combo Packs before die-cutting the image with the Simply Zinnia Dies. Next, I used the Deckled Rectangles Dies to die-cut a layer of Basic White Cardstock that I embossed using the retired Basics 3D Embossing Folders, then adhered the stamped image to this layer. I embossed a layer of Petal Pink Cardstock with the Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder, before adhering it to a Petal Pink Cardstock base & then adding the focal point to the card. For the sentiment, I used the retired Marigold Moments Stamp Set, using Memento Black Ink on Petal Pink Cardstock, and then used the Paper Snips to fussy cut the banner ends. Now, I wanted the sentiment to have a movement look, so I popped up the middle part with Stampin' Dimensionals & Multipurpose Liquid Glue down the ends. To finish the card, I added a few retired Elegant Faceted Gems.
