Farewell Daisy Garden

Hello stampers,

Today is the day that the new catalog goes LIVE! WOOT WOOT! What will be on your 1st order? I haven't made my list out yet as I'm still trying to decide what I "need" first. LOL! But first, I wanted to share a thank you card I made for a new customer that I forgot to post, it also shows the Spotlighting Technique that I always forget about but love to do.

I started this card off with Basic White Cardstock then stamped it with the now retired Daisy Garden Stamp Set using Soft Suede Ink. I then used the now retired Layering Circle Dies to die-cut a section of the stamped image. I colored this image using Lemon Lolly, Granny Apple Green & Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. I attached the stamped layer to a Lemon Lolly Cardstock layer, tied some Linen Thread around both layers & added a bow then used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the colored image over the hole that it was die-cut from making sure to line it up to the non-colored image. This was then added to a now retired Soft Suede Cardstock base. For the sentiment, I used the Sending Smiles Stamp Set with Soft Suede Cardstock & Ink then fussy cut the banner end with Paper Snips.

Evening Evergreen Cardstock:
- Layer - 2 1/2 x 2 5/8
Soft Succulent Cardstock:
- Layer - 4 x 1

Farewell Cottage Rose

Hello stampers,

Today's card is a farewell to Cottage Rose, I must have missed this on the retiring list, I pulled the dies but not the stamp set, UGH! I always thought of this set as looking a bit Victorian, so I chose to use it with 3 of the new In Colors.

I started with a Very Vanilla Cardstock square & stamped the big image in the retiring Cottage Rose Stamp Set with Crumb Cake Ink, then colored it in using Moody Mauve, Boho Blue, Old Olive, Wild Wheat Stampin' Blends Combo Packs, before adhering it to a Boho Blue Cardstock square. Next, I took a Moody Mauve Cardstock layer & stamped the 3 flowers using Moody Mauve Ink all over as a background, then attached this to a Crumb Cake Cardstock base. I used the retiring Cottage Flower Dies with Crumb Cake Cardstock to die-cut the 2 open floral images, these were adhered to the back of the stamped image then adhered to the rest of the card. For the sentiment, I again used Crumb Cake Cardstock that I die-cut using the retiring Layering Circle Dies then stamped a sentiment from the set using Moody Mauve Ink then popped it up using Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly, I added a few retiring Crumb Cake Enamel Dot Essentials to finish the card off.

3 Panel Card

Hello stampers,

Today I'm sharing another card from Creativate Spring. It's a great way to showcase or use up that extra DSP you may have.

I don't use a lot of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, so I chose it to be the base of this card, since it is one of the flower colors in the Hues Of Happiness DSP. For the DSP layer, I chose to use Coastal Cabana Cardstock, I wasn't sure how these 2 cardstock colors would work but I like them together. I spaced the DSP out on the Coastal Cabana Cardstock & used Multipurpose Glue to adhere them together. I used the white twine from the Baker's Twine Essential Pack to wrap around the focal point & added a bow. For the sentiment, I used the new Wonderful Thoughts Bundle with Basic White Cardstock & Gorgeous Grape Ink, then popped it up using Stampin' Dimensionals before adding it to the card. I added a few white Opaque Gems to finish off the card.

Treasured Kindness Thanks

Hello stampers,

Saying goodbye today to Treasured Kindness using a sketch from Creativate Spring. I thought this sketch was a good one so made a second card using it.

I started this card with a Basic White Cardstock base, followed by a layer with the same cardstock that I embossed using one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders, along with the small Pear Pizazz Cardstock piece. I used the Layering Circle Dies to die cut another piece of Basic White Cardstock, this was stamped with pieces from the Treasured Kindness Stamp Set using Pear Pizazz, Soft Suede & So Saffron Ink Pads then with a Blending Brush I added a bit of Balmy Blue Ink to the background. The sentiment was stamped from the Sending Smiles Stamp Set & Soft Suede Ink. Both the sentiment & the circle were popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals before adding to the card. To finish the card I added 3 clear Milky Dots to the card.
