Alpine Air Kit Collection

Hello stampers,

Did y'all get a chance to see the new kits that are available? I really love the scenic watercolor looking kits & this one doesn't disappoint. I haven't thought of a good alternative card yet for this kit, but I wanted to show you what the cards look like up close.

As usual, the actual cards were 2 sided so I cut them down to be a background layer & then backed each one with a Basic White Cardstock base.

Expressions Of Kindness Kit

Hello stampers,

Have you looked at the Kit Collection that Stampin' Up! offers? They offer 2 new kits each month, both card kits and crafting kits, so if you haven't looked at the kit collections in a while, make sure you take a peek for easy crafting. I had a hard time passing up the Expression Of Kindness kit from July, as many of you know I'm a floral girl & thought this was a beautiful kit. 

When cards come in decorated on the front & the back I tend to cut them in half to give me options to make more cards. This one was no different except I made my alternative first before, EEK!

Now it's been a while since I've used Blackberry Bliss anything, but that is what the kit came with for an ink pad. I must say though I'm digging that color with Lost Lagoon, I may have to use it as a color combo for another card. While the front part is exactly what the card should look like from the kit I did cut it in half, then added a layer of Lost Lagoon Cardstock to a Blackberry Bliss Cardstock base.

Kit Collection - By Your Side

Boho Beach Kit

I'm sharing the Boho Beach Kit today. for the month of August kits in the Kit Collection are up to 30% off.

The first picture is of the cards that are to be made using the instructions in the kit. The only thing I changed was to cut the original cards in half, as I couldn't bear to see the gorgeous background wasted on the back of the card & use Basic White Cardstock as the base.

For my alternative, I changed the base of the card to Pecan Pie Cardstock. I mixed the pre-made die-cuts from both of the cards to make one card.

Timeless Greetings Kit

     Yesterday I spent a little time trying to tidy up my stamp room, I tweaked my neck while sleeping so I didn't get a lot done but little by little I'm finding everything its own little place. I did get a little stamping done tho, I bought the Timeless Greetings Kit when it was first available & had worked on the cards from the kit, but waited until I got an alternative for it to blog about.

     First, I want to show you pics of what all comes in the kit along with the 2 cards that you can make with it. Masculine cards are hard for me but this kit makes it so easy!

 

     So here is the alternative I made! I started with the clock stamp from the set stamping it with Soft Suede Ink on Basic White Cardstock then ran it & a scrap piece of Soft Sueded Cardstock to die cut it using the Layering Circle Dies, along with a scrap of Basic White Cardstock to die cut it using the Stitched Rectangle Dies for the sentiment. These were layered on a piece of Basic White Cardstock that I embossed with an upcoming Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder then used my Blending Brushes to add Soft Suede & Evening Evergreen Inks over the embossing. For the DSP, I used Textured Chic, while it does have chic in the name I thought this particular piece worked well for a masculine card. To finish the card, I added 1 tiny Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewel that I had colored with the Soft Suede Blends Combo Pack.

Birthday Card Organizer Kit

     Have you seen this new kit? The organizer itself is a beautiful floral print that uses the coordinating colors of Basic Black, Evening Evergreen, Petal Pink, Sahara Sand & Soft Succulent. While this is being sold as an organizer for cards, you can use it to organize many other things as well as giving it as a gift.      Today I'm sharing the cards from the latest kit in the Kit Collection from Stampin' Up! It's a birthday kit, which comes with everything you need to make the card. It was an easy & fun way to whip up 8 birthday cards in a jiffy. There isn't much to make alternatives from the stamp set, but can use the sentiments on other cards with no problem. If you're new to stamping Paper Pumpkin or the Kits Collection may be a great start to a new hobby.

Merry Little Christmas

Hello stampers,
     Today is a very easy card using the Merry Little Christmas simple created kit in the Holiday Catalog. I did change the accessories, I had a hard time with the twine & button, so I switched it to a ribbon bow. This is the first time I've ever bought a kit, it makes things very simple when you already have a layout instead of dreaming up one on your own. Will buy again if I like the kit.
