Perennial Postage - Thank You

Hello Stampers,
Oh my it's been a busy week- late nights & early mornings make for a very grumpy ME! I came across this reel that made a card using what she calls the Fault Line Technique, so I decided to make a card using this. It's also a great way to showcase some of our favorite DSP.

I started this card using the Mixed Media DSP & gluing it to a Calypso Coral Cardstock base. I used the Perennial Postage Stamp Set to stamp one of the sentiment onto Basic White Cardstock using the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. I lined the Basic White & Granny Apple Green Cardstocks then tore them in half so they would have the same torn marks on each piece, then glued the Basic White Cardstock pieces to the Granny Apple Green Cardstock a little above the torn parts so you saw both pieces. Once I had the 2 pieces together I was able to add them to the card leaving a small border all around the card. I finished the card by adding a few Brushed Brass Butterflies. It's a rather quick card to make or even multiple cards.

Everyday Happiness - Happy Birthday

Hello Stampers,

I hope everyone is having a good Monday, I'm waiting for our HVAC guy to come by to have my AC serviced, this past week has been a little on the warm side. Today's card was inspired by a sketch from Sunny Day Stamping.

The DSP I used is the Everyday Happiness, which was layered on a Wild Wheat Cardstock base. I used a sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set using the Wild Wheat Ink Pad on Basic White Cardstock then cut a banner tail on one end of the cardstock. *REMEMBER* Wild Wheat is being retired! Lastly, I added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies to finish the card.

MMS021025 - Thank You So Much

Hello stampers,

I hope y'all have had a good start to February! I took a little break from stamping last week to catch up on a few things that I got behind on when I took a small vacation. Today's card comes from this week's Mystery Monday Stamping tutorial by Sharon Armstrong.

For today's card, I used the retiring Serene Love DSP with Night Of Navy & Basic White Cardstocks. For the sentiment, I used the Layering Leaves Stamp Set to stamp with the Night Of  Navy Ink Pad onto Basic White Cardstock. An easy peasy monochromatic card!

MMS011325 - You Are Appreciated

Hello stampers,

Today's card was made from this week's Mystery Monday Stamping clues from Sharon Armstrong. It's been a bit since I've done a card for MMS, but thought I would make a monochromatic card using a new DSP.

Have you seen the three updated DSP's that dropped last week? These new DSP's have been seen before, but Stampin' Up! recently updated them with newer colors. I chose to use Serene Love DSP to make this card, along with Pretty Peacock, Basic White & Basic White Thick Cardstocks. The embossing folder I chose was the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. For the sentiment, I used the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink onto Basice White Cardstock, then was popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly, I added a few of the Sequins Trio to finish the card.

Splendid Autumn Beauty

Hello stampers,

The new catalog is LIVE! WOOT WOOT! Fall is around the corner & this is where I miss living in New York where the trees change beautiful colors, apple season at a nursery or farm. In the middle of the desert, you don't get a lot of changing colors.

I really love that Stampin' Up! has provided at least 3 scenic DSP's they are just so pretty & they work really well when they are the focal point of your card, just like my card today. I paired Splendid Autumn DSP with Cajun Craze & Wild Wheat Cardstock. I embossed the DSP & Cajun Craze Cardstock layer using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.  For the sentiment, I used the Autumn Expressions Stamp Set to stamp a sentiment using Wild Wheat Ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock then used the Unbounded Love Dies to die-cut it. I added a bit of Linen Thread behind the sentiment before adding a few Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. Lastly, I added a few Faux Glass Dots to finish the card.
