Hello stampers,
I finally got a challenge done after missing a few. Haven't touched any of my stamps for almost 2 weeks, YIKES & I have all these new stamps from the mini catalogs that I want to play with. So I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. And with  New Year's just around the corner, I'll wish you now to have a SAFE & HAPPY New Year!
This week's challenge was all about Winter, now I thought I had quite a bit of winter type stamps, they just happened to be retired & since the only thing we don't do is use retired stamps I had to go a different route. I was staring out my window this morning, watching the snow come down & tried to figure what I could do. I figured I could use one of my many tree stamps, but I wasn't getting the right look then I came across the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set & decided to go with the flow. I started with a layer of Whisper White Card Stock, stamped the tree using Soft Suede Ink for the trees (2 outside trees are stamped off once) then I ran this layer through the Big Shot using the Softly Falling TIEF to dry emboss. Next, I used the sentiment from the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set stamping it with Cherry Cobbler Ink. I then layered this onto Cherry Cobbler Card Stock followed by Soft Suede Card Stock for the base.
Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
