BSU040418

Hello stampers,
Today it snowed, I'm so over winter but this week's BSU challenge is all about the floral theme & I get to see a little bit of spring with it. I realized that I hadn't used Beautiful Bouquet since I bought it, so figured I'd try my hand at it. It took a little longer than expected since I just wasn't getting the flowers to look right as an arrangement, but I think I finally did a pretty good job.
I started the card off with a Soft Sky Card Stock base, followed by a layer of Whisper White Card Stock that I ran through the Big Shot using the Basket Weave TIEF. Next, I got to stamping the flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set on Whisper White Card Stock using Sweet Sugarplum (going to so miss this color), Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango & Melon Mambo Inks. For the wrap I used Crumb Cake Ink. I went back to the Big Shot to die cut all the flowers, wrap & a few additional pieces that weren't stamped but used Daffodil Delight Card Stock & Pear Pizazz Card Stock with the help of the Bouquet Bunch Framelits. Next, I used Whisper White Card Stock to die cut a square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits & Soft Sky Card Stock cut out the scalloped square using the Layering Squares Framelits. I then stamped a sentiment from the set using Smoky Slate Ink & surrounded it with a bit more color with Daffodil Delight Ink flowers.
Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
