Hello stampers,
Happy Mother's Day everyone! I finally got caught up with the challenge on the 2nd only to realize I couldn't share it until today since it was a card I sent my mom for her special day yesterday! So the challenge for the 2nd was to do a Mother's Day or Feminine card. I chose a little bit of both along with using the eclipse technique. (I LOVE this technique!)
For this card, I chose to use a new stamp set called Abstract Impressions. I used Whisper White Card Stock to stamp the flower from the set using the retiring Sweet Sugarplum Ink *insert sad face*, stamped off once for the solid stamp & full on with the line stamp. I decided to use only 2 of the 3 rose stamps. For the leaf, I used a new ink color called Granny Apple Green. Next, I used the Big Shot with the Large Letter Framelits to cut out Mom from the stamped layer, then backed this with a Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock layer so that I could prop the cut-out letters using Mini Stamp Dimensionals. The card was finished off with a base of Granny Apple Green Card Stock.
Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
