So last week we had VSD (Virtual Stamp Day) challenges on VC Rocks. I chose the challenge where you needed to use your favorite retiring color. I chose to use a color from one of the outgoing color families since I've been using way too much of Sweet Sugarplum & also decided I needed to use the blenders since I'm not really good at blending them yet. Since Pink Pirouette is a retiring blender color I thought that's where I would go.
I started with a Pink Pirouette Card Stock base. For the stamped image, I used Whisper White Card Stock where I stamped an image from the retiring Rose Wonder Stamp Set & sentiment from the new Abstract Impressions Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink. Next, I started coloring the rose using both the Light & Dark Pink Pirouette Blenders, followed it by coloring the leaves with both of the Old Olive Blenders. Still got to work on blending, but I think my rose turned out pretty good.
