Hello stampers,
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, I've had a hard time getting motivated to stamp even with all my new goodies from the catalog. I finally got a bit of motivation to stamp yesterday & caught up on some BSU challenges but I just didn't get to posting them. This week's BSU challenge was about the Swipe Technique. What is that you ask? It's where you take a solid stamp & instead of tapping it on the ink pad to ink it, you slide it across the pad so that when you stamp it gives you a textured swipe look.
For this card, I started with a Pear Pizazz Card Stock base, followed by a layer of Whisper White Card Stock. Next, I used the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set to stamp the flower from the set using Mango Melody, Poppy Parade & Berry Burst Ink, then fussy cut the flowers out. These weren't the original colors I had selected but some colors ended up being very similar that I changed them up at the last minute. I then used one of the leaf stamps from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set to stamp Pear Pizazz Ink onto the same color card stock before punching it out using the Leaf Punch. I then used the Tombow Multi Glue to adhere the leaves & flowers in a way that they fit onto the card.
Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
