Birthday Blooms

Hello stampers,
Today I was in the mood to color & had birthday cards to make, so thought I would work on my blending technique since that isn't really my forte. I'm not sure if it was the color I chose to use or not, but I'm thinking it turned out okay this round.
I started with an Old Olive Card Stock base, followed by a layer of Subtles DSP. Next, I took a Whisper White Card Stock rectangle & stamped it with the retired Birthday Blooms Stamp Set with Memento Black Ink. I have been using the sentiments a lot inside cards, so I thought I 'd work with the main stamp a bit more. I used both Light/Dark Daffodil Delight & Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color the roses & leaves, along with Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends for the other type of leaf just to add another color to the mix. This was then layered onto an Old Olive Card Stock rectangle before putting the card together.
Card Measurements

  • Old Olive base- 5.5"x8.5"
  • DSP layer- 4"x5.25
  • Old Olive layer- 3.25"x4.25"
  • Whisper White-  3"x4"
