BSU080818

Hello stampers,
It's  BSU Wednesday, YAY! This week we have a color theme of Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Pineapple Punch & Granny Apple Green. When we picked these colors out I thought they would be pretty easy to work with but not so much when I had to put ink to paper. I was thinking floral would be easy but just couldn't wrap my brain around doing that as it is my usual go to. As I was putting my order away I thought about one of the new sets I got & tried it out & that is what I ended up with. Hope you like it!
I used Granny Apple Green Card Stock for the base, becoming my favorite green we have. It reminds me a bit of 2 light greens we used to carry many moons ago. I layered the base with the 2018-2020 In Color DSP using the Pineapple Punch color. For the stamped image, I used the Wonderful Moments Stamp Set, stamping 3 of the stamps using Memento Black Ink before coloring them in with Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Pineapple Punch & Granny Apple Green Stampin' Write Markers. I then mounted this piece to a layer of Highland Heather Card Stock, before adhering it to the card base I stamped a sentiment from the set in Gorgeous Grape Ink.
Card Measurements
  • Granny Apple Green base- 4.25" x 11"
  • DSP- 4" x 5.25"
  • Highland Heather layer- 2.5" x 4.25"
  • Whisper White- 2.25" x 4"
Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
