BSU081518

Hello stampers,
Sorry I haven't posted this week, hubby took the week off so haven't really had a chance to stamp until today for this week's BSU challenge which we selected to do the White Wash Technique, you can go to Patty Bennett's blog HERE for an in-depth tutorial if you want to give it a try.
It took me some time to figure out a stamp that was open enough to try this technique, but I chose the Petal Palette Stamp Set. I started with a Granny Apple Green Card Stock base followed by a layer of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. For the stamped image, I used Sahara Sand Card Stock, took the rose cluster stamp from the set, stamped it with Craft White Ink & covered it with White Embossing Powder before heat setting it. Next, I start coloring both images in with White Craft Ink using AquaPainters. I heat set this to speed up the drying process before starting to color in the images using Granny Apple Green & Cherry Cobbler Ink. The sentiment came from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set & was stamped using Cherry Cobbler Ink.
Card Measurements
  • Granny Apple Green base- 5.5" x 8.5", scored at 4.25"
  • Cherry Cobbler layer- 4" x 5.25"
  • Crumb Cake- 3.75" x 5"

  •      Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
