Yesterday I thought I would take a break from showing Christmas cards & try my hand at a fall card in honor of the 1st full day of fall & the weather was just perfect this weekend to usher it in.
I started with a Crushed Curry Card Stock base followed by a layer of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock that I had run through the Big Shot using the new Tin Tile TIEF to emboss the paper. Next, I took a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock & took the wreath stamp from the Wishing You Well Stamp Set & went about using a technique called Thumping. Don't know how to do this? Well, I started by inking up the stamp with Crushed Curry Ink first then taking from lightest to darkest- Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Cajun Craze & Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Markers thumping them individually all over the stamp so that you get specks of all the colors within the stamp. Before I stamped I gave the stamp a huff of air to reactivate the colors in case any started to dry a bit before I was ready. I then stamped the pretty bow from the above set using Rich Razzleberry Ink. Since I couldn't find a sentiment along the lines of fall in any of my current sets I went to my retired stash & found one in the Merry Cafe Stamp Set, using the Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker to color just the part of the sentiment that I wanted to use.

Idk why but I love this wreath paired with that embossing folder. Pretty card Terri.
