BSU121218

Hello stampers,
Hope everyone is farther along with Christmas than I am, I'm still struggling with finishing my cards & really just started shopping online yesterday. I did manage to get a card done for today's BSU challenge which was all about the color combo of Night Of Navy, Mossy  Meadow & Merry Merlot. Now, I had NO idea what to do with those colors but I finally started working on something only to mess it up at the end, so I decided to go this route instead. Who says snowflakes can't be these colors too?
I started with a base of Mossy Meadow Cardstock, followed by a layer of Merry Merlot Cardstock. For the stamped layer, I used Whisper White Cardstock where I stamped the 3 snowlakes from the Snow Is Glistening Stamp Set using Night Of Navy, Mossy  Meadow & Merry Merlot Ink. Next, I used the Layering Oval Framelits & Big Shot to cut out a Whisper White oval & Night Of Navy Scalloped oval. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Peaceful Poinsettia Stamp Set using Night Of Navy Ink. That made for an easy & quick card!
Card Measurement
  • Mossy Meadow base- 5.5"x8.5"
  • Merry Merlot layer- 4"x5.25"
  • Whisper White layer- 3.75"x5"
  •      Also, don't forget if you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin that November's kit was all about Christmas so use it & make several cards pretty quickly.

Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
