I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! November was a tough month with direct family getting COVID & entering the hospital. It's the most scariest thing to have to drop off a loved one at the ER & not be able to see them. Although, we had short phone chats it was still hard not being able to see them. But the Dr.'s & Nurses did a great job & my family member was released from the hospital to finish recovering. Please everyone, be safe out there you DON'T want to get this!
Needless to say, with all that worry I didn't get much stamping done as I would have liked. But last week I saw a card on FB that I thought I could totally CASE & jump start my Christmas card making. I really want to thank Rose Grunewald for posting her card. She has directions & a video for her card HERE. The only thing that I didn't do on my card as she did hers was use the linen thread as I couldn't find mine.
I started with a Sahara Sand Cardstock based, where I stamped the branch from the Toile Christmas Stamp Set in the same color of ink. Next on the smaller Sahara Sand Cardstock piece, I stamped the cardinal from the set using Cherry Cobbler Ink & the sentiment from the set using Memento Black Ink. Now, I did use the retired Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set to add the splatter on the base as I couldn't get the way Rose did hers to work. After I was finished stamping, I assembled my cardinal piece onto Cherry Cobbler Cardstock & attached it to the base.
