Have y'all started thinking about what you are going to make for your Christmas cards? I'm starting to work on some ideas. Last night, I was looking at the Snowflake Splendor DSP & was thinking about how I could make a one-sheet wonder with this, I only got as far as 2 cards & still working on what I can do with the other half. So far I cut 2 sheets into 3"x6" sections, then cut 2 sections into 1/2"x3" strips. I will make a sketch of what I did once I finish the rest of the one-sheet wonder. For now, I'll share the 2 cards I made last night. Unfortunately, I thought the set that went with this DSP was still in the catalog for some reason, so pardon the retired items.
Here are the 2 cards I made with the 1/2"x3" strips:
For the 2nd card, I added the strips to a piece of Highland Heather Cardstock that was then layered onto Balmy Blue Cardstock before being adhered to a Highland Heather Cardstock base. I had come across the Wonderful Snowflakes earlier & thought I could use them on this card. For the sentiment, I used the retired Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set with Highland Heather Ink stamping onto Balmy Blue Cardstock. To finish the card I added Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.
For the 1st card, I started with a Balmy Blue Cardstock base, then placed 4 strips about 1/4" apart, on the 3rd strip I decided to try to emboss the sentiment from the retired Sparkle Of The Season Stamp Set using the white in the Basic Embossing Powders. I die cut 3 snowflakes from Shimmer Cardstock with the retired So Many Snowflakes Dies, then added a few Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.
