Dragonflies have always intrigued me, such beauty & when we lived on Okinawa, they were thought to warn you of storms that were near, usually, typhoons which I was never a fan of. But dragonflies have a way about them that always makes me happy to see them, almost like a cardinal is thought to be someone you've loved watching over you I think that is what dragonflies are to me. Today's card started off in one direction but quickly changed into another.
I started with a layer of Basic White Cardstock where I stamped one of the dragonflies from Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set with Memento Black Ink, coloring the wings in with Balmy Blue & Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends Combo Packs then added a touch of Wink Of Stella. I added Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon before adding this layer to a layer of Balmy Blue Cardstock then to a Soft Sea Foam Cardstock base. For the sentiment, I used Basic White Cardstock then die-cut it using Seasonal Labels before stamping a sentiment from the retired Happy Thoughts Stamp Set using Balmy Blue Ink, then popped it up using Stampin' Dimensionals before placing it on the card.
