Hello Ladybug - What's new

Hello stampers,

A while back I came across a blog that had challenges that used either 1 layer or lots of white space on a card. I've always had a problem with lots of white space it just looks strange to me. While I couldn't find the page again I decided I was going to try making a card with what I consider A LOT of white space. LOL!

It's been a bit since I've used the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set, so I pulled it out for this card. I stamped the leaf from the set directly on to a Basic White Cardstock layer using the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Next, I took a scrap piece of Basic Black & Real Red Cardstock & used the Ladybug Builder Punch to punch each piece out, then used the wing dots from the set with Memento Black Ink to stamp onto the punched Real Red piece, these 2 pieces were then glued together using Multipurpose Glue before being attached to the card using the same glue. For the sentiment, I chose to use the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set with Basic White Cardstock & Memento Black Ink then die cut the sentiment using the Sentiment Silhouette Dies, then using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to add it to the card. The focal point piece was then attached to a layer of Basic Black Cardstock, followed by a Real Red Cardstock base. To finish the card, I used a few Classic Matte Dots.
