Hello stampers,
It's the 3rd Monday of the month & that brings another Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who share different ideas made with the featured stamp set. This week that stamp set is Beautiful Balloons. I'll admit I had a tough time with this card, I think because my brain was thinking something could be done but I just couldn't figure out how to make it happen. I have wanted to try the Floating Technique & I did make it happen with this card, along with going ALL out with the Fresh Freesia & Bubble Bath colors.
I started with a Basic White Cardstock base layer, then stamped the confetti large balloon around the edges, then placed a piece of the Bright & Beautiful DSP in the center. For the present, I used Fresh Freesia Cardstock, stamped with a bit of confetti using Fresh Freesia Ink, then added a cardstock ribbon & bow using Bubble Bath Cardstock & the Country Wreath Dies for the bow. For the balloon, I used some acetate (just from what the photopolymer stamps come on) added strips until I was happy & die cut it using the Beautiful Balloon Dies which was then popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals before adding to the card.
There's a hidden message I added to the package which I made by cutting "a lid" for the package then adding a Basic White Cardstock piece that was glued at the very top so that the lid could come down over the base & the sentiment was added using Fresh Freesia Ink closer to the bottom of this piece.. To finish the card I added a few Sparkle Gems.
