Hello stampers,
Sorry I haven't been on at all in the last 2 weeks, I've been on an emotional roller-coaster trying my best to keep the kittens alive that were sick with URI's & I am totally heartbroken that I lost 8 of the 9 babies & I feel bad for mama as well. The 9th baby seems to be doing really well & I've named him "Porky" as in the pig because he seems to be always attached to mama & because he seemed to be the biggest of all of them.
I decided to try my hand at an easy card for today while I ease back to being able to stamp again. I chose to do a Mystery Monday Stamping from the 1st of the month. If you want to make this card you can go HERE to Sharon Armstrong's blog for the details.
I went a little rogue on this card because I thought you were supposed to do 4 strips each & instead it was supposed to be 3 for the DSP. I used the Everyday Details Stamp Set to stamp a sentiment & the nest using Boho Blue Ink, then colored the nest in using Boho Blue & Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends Combo Packs on Basic White Cardstock, this was then backed by a layer of Boho Blue Cardstock. For the next layer, I used Boho Blue Cardstock with Flight & Airy DSP (retired) then using the Painted Texture Embossing Folder, before attaching it to the Boho Blue Cardstock base. I finished the card off with a few Iridescent Rhinestones.
