Hello stampers,
Citrus & Summer go hand in hand, don't you think? I had a bit of fun playing around with a new bundle from the annual catalog. If only it was as refreshing to eat as it was to color, I haven't had a whole lot of luck picking oranges, so I just stopped looking at them.*sad, long face*
I started with a layer of Basic White Cardstock that I die-cut using the Citrus Blooms Dies, then stamped one of the larger stamps from the Citrus Blooms Stamp Set onto the die-cut using Memento Black Ink. I used Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly & Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Combo Packs to color the image. I used the Perrenial Postage Stamp Set for the sentiment using Pumpkin Pie Ink directly onto the die-cut image. My brain has a tendency to not like a lot of white, so I always have to figure out what to do whether it be stamping or embossing I chose to use the decorative stamp from the set using Pumpkin Pie Ink, stamped off twice before adding it to the die cut. I added a bit of Linen Thread to this layer before moving on to the next one. To back the die-cut layer I used Lemon Line Twist Cardstock & embossed it with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, then attached it to a Pumpkin Pie Cardstock base. To finish the card, I added a few Shiny Sequins around the stamped image.
