Hello stampers,
It's hard living with someone who loves coffee, when you can't even stand the smell of it, BLEH! But I do love me some hot cocoa, especially when you add a little peppermint syrup to it. YUM! I'm on the hunt for peppermint whipped cream, I saw it on a reel, but can't remember who makes it. Today I pay homage to hot cocoa, hoping it will be cool enough to drink it soon.
I started with a layer of Basic White Cardstock & proceeded to make my own background using several stamps in the More Than Autumn Stamp Set using Pecan Pie Ink, then added this to a layer of Poppy Parade Cardstock. Next, I cut 2 strips of Pecan Pie & 1 strip of Poppy Parade to go down the center of the background. I took a smaller layer of Basic White Cardstock, to stamp the cup & whipped cream, along with the word cocoa using Memento Black Ink. I colored it in using Pecan Pie, Poppy Parade & Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Combo Packs, before layering onto a Poppy Parade Cardstock layer, then adding a few Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up over the strips. Lastly, I added a few Polished Dots to finish the card.
