Glow Of Harvest - Thank You

Hello Stampers,

How many of you make your own card templates/sketches when you see one that you like? I'm a big fan of them, especially if they come with measurements. While I can usually come close to the template, I like things that are quick & not always having to figure it out.  I used to draw out templates on printer paper that I had made a template for, then I moved onto drawing them in books, but neither one really helped because either I forgot about them or misplaced them, you know the old saying "Out of sight, out of mind." LOL! Several years ago, I started following Jackie Bolhuis who has tons of tutorials for sale or free videos for templates, which made me really start making actual templates & I have a box of them along with some fun folds in a box on my desk to look through for inspiration. I've also branched out & started making templates from Pinterest that I have pinned over the years & more recently have started following more demonstrators who also have shared their templates.

Today's card was inspired by an old template from Jackie Bolhuis & using the August POTM Glow Of Harvest, which is still available if you haven't already gotten it. This DSP is so pretty & I love the shimmer on all the pages. I started my card with a Golden Glow Cardstock base, followed by a strip of Pecan Pie Cardstock that I embossed using the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I used a smaller layer of Crumb Cake Cardstock & placed a square piece of the Glow Of Harvest DSP to the top, which this layout kind of reminds me of the old polaroids. I used the Painted Pumpkins Stamp Set for the sentiment & stamped it on the lower portion of the layer with Early Espresso Ink. Before adding this layer to the card, I wrapped it with Neutrals Jute Combo Pack (Pecan Pie) & then used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up.
