Stamp Review Crew - Apple Harvest

Hello stampers,

It's the 5th Monday of the month & that brings another Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who share different ideas made with the featured stamp set. This week that stamp set is Apple Harvest.

I'm not good at watercoloring, but I do alright with the Blender Pens & Watercolor Pencils (asst 1 & 2) which is the technique I decided to use for this card. I started by stamping the apple bunch using Crumb Cake Ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock. I colored directly onto the paper then came back & used the Blender Pen to blend all the colors together. If you haven't used Blender Pens before make sure you rub the tip on a paper towel or your grid paper before moving on to the next color unless you are using the same color family as I did with the leaves. I used the retired Apple Blossoms Dies to die-cut the apple bunch out, then attached Stampin' Dimensionals to the back. I die-cut Cherry Cobbler Cardstock with the Countryside Corner Dies before embossing with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. To assemble, I used a Cherry Cobbler Cardstock base, followed by a layer of Neutrals 6x6 DSP & the embossed Cherry Cobbler die-cut. For the focal point, I liked the look of it peering over the embossed layer, thus the reason why I used a smaller die-cut for the backing. I used a sentiment from the set stamping it onto Crumb Cake Cardstock with Cherry Cobbler Ink, then used Paper Snips to cut the banner ends, then used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up as well. For the embellishments, I used the Iridescent Pearls & colored them with the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Combo Pack.
