Yay, it's Friday & that means it is time for Sketch Frenzy Friday! So I thought I would end my 2 weeks of Fall cards, I say that because I didn't do as many Halloween or Thanksgiving cards as I would have thought for a good mix. So I can't promise that there won't be any more of these type of cards added to the mix in the coming weeks.
For this week's challenge I decided to use the Regarding Dahlias set & use more fall colors. Now I can't tell you if this is a typical fall flower as I don't have a green thumb whatsoever, but I think it works well.
To start my card, I stamped the flower with Tangerine Tango onto Vanilla cardstock. I then used a blender pen on the shadow aka lined parts of the flower, the inked flower provided enough color without having to add any extra from the pad itself. This was then adhered to Tangerine Tango cardstock. I didn't buy any of the big brads, so instead I took a small piece of Victoria Crochet Trim & with a sponge dauber colored it with Tangerine Tango ink. The one thing I learned is when doing this, never do it when you are in a hurry, the ink needs to be allowed to dry. Needless to say I used a lot of baby wipes to keep my fingers from adding any unwanted fingerprints to the card until it was done. I punched out a piece of Sahara Sand with the Decorative Label Punch & added the saying from the Good Greetings set in Tangerine Tango.
This week's sketch was created by Diana Eichfeld. Hop on over to the SFF blog & check out what the other team members did. Better yet, make your own card based on the sketch below & add your link to this week's challenge.
