BSU101216

Hello stampers,
For today's BSU challenge we decided to go back to the basics, 2-step stamping. I decided for my card to use Watercolor Wings Stamp Set, which can be used as a 2-step or 3-step depending on what you do with the butterflies. I wanted to try to make a Monarch butterfly, so my card basically used the 3-step process. I started off stamping the 1st layer of the butterfly in Daffodil Delight Ink, followed by the second layer which I used Memento Black Ink, then stamped the 3rd part with Pumpkin Pie Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock. The butterfly then was die cut out using the Big Shot & the Bold Butterfly Framelits. Next, I took a layer of Whisper White Card Stock, used the flower stamp from Awesomely Artistic & stamped it twice using Smoky Slate Ink, then colored it in with the Pear Pizazz Marvelous Marker. I also used the sentiments from both sets stamping them with Smoky Slate Ink. I attached the butterfly by the body using some Tombow Multi Glue. This layer was then attached to Pumpkin Pie Card Stock, followed by the base which is Daffodil Delight Card Stock.
Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
