BSU110916

Hello stampers,
It's been a whirlwind of a week with the rescue, but I finally got a chance to finish my card, albeit late.  This week the BSU challenge was Fancy Folds, now mind you I don't do a lot of these cards because I tend to like fast, easy cards that if needed could be done in multiples. But I've seen these double z fold cards that I've wanted to try for awhile & just hadn't gotten around to doing it, so that is the type of card I did this week. Now while I think this card type is neat not sure I could do more than 1 at a time 1. Because they can be bulky (I really had to stop myself from adding more to it!) 2. It really doesn't have a lot of room for a sentiment/note inside. Other than that I think the fold is awesome!
For this card I used Soft Sky Card Stock for the base of the card & the tab piece. For the 2nd layer I used Night of Navy Card Stock punched the top using the Star Confetti Punch & putting Silver Glimmer Paper behind that to look like glistening stars. I then stamped the sleigh, reindeer, presents & bears using the Santa's Sleigh Stamp Set with Marina Mist & Soft Sky Card Stock inked with Night of Navy Ink & the Crumb Card Stock inked with Early Espresso Ink. These were then cut out using the Big Shot & Santa's Sleigh Framelits. I then added reins using Silver Metallic Thread.
Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
