Hello stampers,
How is everyone doing on Christmas cards? For me, I'm glad I've been able to go to some of Kerri's classes this month so that I have at least a start on my cards. As usual, I'm behind, what can I say. I'm hoping for a bit of stamping time over this long holiday weekend, so I can possibly mail by the beginning of December, fingers crossed!
Today's BSU challenge was a set challenge & we chose to use Petite Petals. I started off with a whole different set-up in my head by when I started to stamp I decided on a wreath. For starters, I used a Whisper White Card Stock base, followed by the same color for the layer which I dry embossed using the Big Shot & the Brick Wall TIEF. Next, I used the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits to cut out the largest circle using the Big Shot & Always Artichoke Card Stock. I then stamped one of the flowers from the Petite Petals Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock, then punched out using the Petite Petals Punch. I attached both the flowers & the wreath to the card using the Fine Tip Glue Pen. For the sentiment, I used the Greetings From Santa Stamp Set, with Cherry Cobbler Ink punched the ends using the Washi Label Punch & then finishing it by sponging around the sentiment in Always Artichoke Ink.
Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
