Birthday Dial Card

Hello stampers,
Sorry that I haven't posted in awhile, I've lost my mojo again & just haven't had any umph to stamp! So I decided to CASE a card or two from Connie Stewart, who posted a birthday card back in April that I thought would be great for my hubby's birthday this year & then realized a friend was celebrating a big one & did hers but forgot to take a pic of it before I mailed it off, so made my husband's a bit different but with the same idea in mind. If you'd like to make the same card you can head over to Connie's blog as she has a tutorial all made up for you.
I'm always teasing my husband that he's on the downhill slide this year, so I thought this card would be perfect. Since he is going from 50 to 51 I decided to only make 1 side look like it is moving instead of both sides as Connie had done for her card. I went with a Smoky Slate Card Stock base, followed by a layer of Whisper White Card Stock that I had stamped with Smoky Slate Ink & Memento Black Ink using the Touches Of Texture & retired Number Of Years Stamp Sets. For the dial, I used Basic Black Card Stock (3"x 3.5")as the base, then added the numbers from the above retired set using Whisper White Card Stock with Smoky Slate & Memento Black Inks. The numbers are 1.5"x 2.5") with the second dial of numbers cut off center so that more of the 1 was showing.
