BSU100318

Hello stampers,
So yesterday I asked on my Facebook page if anyone has had one of those days that whatever project you touched was ruined in some way. That was me on Monday as I was trying to stamp cards for this week's posts, so I ended up walking away from it all very frustrated. Yesterday I redeemed myself to at least to get today's challenge card done & on the 4th try I got it assembled with no problems. YAY! This week's BSU challenge was to make a card using a Halloween/Fall themed card. I'm not a huge Halloween type of person, but I did end up making a card for it.
For the base, I started out with Gorgeous Grape Card Stock, followed by a layer of Whisper White Card Stock that was run through the Big Shot using the retired Spider Web TIEF, then stamped with 2 little spiders from the September Paper Pumpkin kit using Memento Black Ink. For the stamped piece, I used the Making Every Day Bright Stamp Set for the lights & string using Memento Black Ink. I took the solid bulb from the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set to add Lemon Lime Twist Ink & Gorgeous Grape Ink give the bulbs color. The sentiments came from the September Paper Pumpkin Kit. This piece was then backed by a layer of Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock before being adhered to the card.
Card Measurements
  • Gorgeous Grape base- 5.5" x 8.5"
  • Whisper White layer- 4" x 5.25"
  • Lemon Lime Twist layer- 3" x 4.25"
  • Whisper White layer- 2.75" x 4"

  •      Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
