BSU110718

Hello stampers,
I hope everyone is doing well today. For me, I've been in a stamping stump again & really haven't even made it to my desk all that much. But I did finally make a card for today's BSU challenge which was to make a card based on the theme of Thankful or Thanksgiving.
For today's card, I pulled out my brayer something I haven't used in forever & made my own mixture of colors using Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie & Cherry Cobbler Inks. After loading up my brayer I went back & forth over a piece of Glossy Cardstock, until I achieved the look I wanted. Next, I stamped the trees from the Winter Woods Stamp Set using Soft Suede Ink, then added the sentiment from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set using Early Espresso Ink. I then set this aside & took out the Crushed Curry Cardstock layer, stamped the feather  & the pine cone from the Winter Woods Stamp Set using all but the Early Espresso Ink from above. Once I was finished, I added these 2 layers to a Pumpkin Pie Cardstock layer & then to the Cherry Cobbler Cardstock base.
Card Measurements

  • Cherry Cobbler base-5.5"x8.5"
  • Pumpkin Pie layer- 4"x5.25"
  • Crushed Curry layer-3.75"x5"
  • Glossy layer-3.25"x4.75"

  •      Don't forget to head on over to Carol's blog HERE and then to Stace's blog HERE. To see what both did for this week's challenge. I'm sure both will be fantastic. Hope you try this challenge out too! We have a new Facebook group if you want to join us and show us what you came up with HERE.
