Where does time go? I've been nursing some sick kitties for what seems like forever & also trying slowly but surely to finally unpack my stamp room so I can switch rooms with the kitties. Hopefully, all will work out like I hope it will.
Today's card is for a special 3-year-old who has a rare brain cancer & her community decided to do a card drive for her. We have been friends with her parents for many, many years so I couldn't pass up the chance to send a bit of cheer her way. But I got to say Valentine's Day cards for kids shouldn't be this hard to come up with, but I liked the final result even if the card uses retired sets.
To start the card I used a Poppy Parade Cardstock base, followed by a layer of Whisper White Cardstock where I stamped the hearts from the retired Valentine Defined Stamp Set in Poppy Parade Ink. I then used the retired Party Panda Stamp Set to stamp the panda using Memento Black Ink, replacing the balloon with a Poppy Parade heart using the retired Sweet & Sassy Framelits & stamping the little love stamp from the retired Sealed With Love Stamp Set with Memento Black Ink. The sentiment is from the retired Good Greetings Stamp Set using Poppy Parade Ink. I layered this stamp piece with Basic Black Cardstock before assemblying the card. ~Thanks for stopping by!
