Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello stampers,
Today I joined the Crafty Challenge Color Combo Blog Hop. These colors really gave me a run for my money on coming up with an idea, but I ended up with 2. The first card I felt was just too plain, but a friend told me it was fine & that I was overthinking it. Upon finishing the 1st card & putting things away the 2nd card kind of came to me so I had to give it a try & of course share it as well.
For both cards, the Biggest Wish Stamp Set was used. The 1st card started with a Basic White Cardstock layer, where I used the Stamparatus to line up the word Happy along the left side starting with the Bermuda Bay Ink middle than working my way out I used bon top full strength & then stamped off once, the same was done with Cajun Craze Ink on the bottom. The birthday part was also done with the same colors full strength. This card was backed with a Bermuda Bay Cardstock base.
For the 2nd card, I again used the Stamparatus to line up the sentiment using Merry Merlot, Bermuda Bay & Cajun Craze Ink. I also added from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set - Merry Merlot & Bermuda Bay Ink ice cream on Basic White Cardstock then punched out using the Ice Cream Builder Punch. For the cone, I used the same punch to punch out the cone part from Cajun Craze Cardstock & then inked it with the waffle cone stamp in Cajun Craze Ink. This stamped piece was then backed by Cajun Craze Cardstock 1/8" bigger followed by Bermuda Bay Cardstock 1/2" bigger than the first so the layers looked a bit different when put together, then it was all layered onto a Merry Merlot Cardstock base.

Continue on your journey through the blog hop to see what everyone else has made.
