When I was able to see the catalog as a whole, I found what I thought to be the cutest set in it which was the Elephant Parade & I knew it would have to be one of the first sets I would get. So today I'm sharing what I've made with the set so far using a sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.
I stamped one of the elephants from the Elephant Parade Stamp Set onto Basic White Cardstock using Memento Black Ink, then die cut it out using the Layering Circle Dies. I colored him in using Gray Granite, Petal Pink & Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. I then moved on to the sentiment part where I used Petal Pink & Gray Granite Cardstock, punching one end out using the Banners Pick A Punch Punch, then stamped a sentiment from the set using Gray Granite Ink. I really wanted a border on the straight white piece but of course, the only one I could find was the retired Ornate Border Dies. For the Petal Pink Cardstock layer, I used the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder as it kind of reminded me of the elephant's skin. I then started attaching the layers of the card & finally once everything was attached the way I wanted I popped the elephant up using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I have attached the sketch I used in case you wanted to make a card of your own, however, the challenge on their blog is over but you can find more over there if you're ever in a bind for an idea.
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
