Were you creative this weekend? I was sort of I only made 1 card during a video chat with a stamping friend, actually it was 2 but the 1 card from the Paper Pumpkin this month doesn't count. EEK!
I wanted to make a card with something new & so I chose the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set. I started by stamping the roses onto Basic White Cardstock using Memento Black Ink, then colored in using Orchid Oasis & Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. I then took a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock & die cut a circle using the Layering Circle Dies, a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set was then stamped using Orchid Oasis Ink. I figured the placement of the Flirty Flamingo roses first then attached them using Multipurpose Glue. For the 1st layer, I used Flirty Flamingo Cardstock & embossed it using the background die in Organic Beauty Dies, which gave just a faint hint of the diamonds just enough to add some texture, this was then attached to an Orchid Oasis Cardstock base. To finish the card I added the sentiment with the 2 roses to the background layer, added the Orchid Oasis rose to the middle using Stampin' Dimensionals & then added Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
