I'm hoping everyone is safe & sound in FL, when I lived on the island of Okinawa, I went through many typhoons several cat 5 or as they called them super typhoons & I hated going through even the small ones. Then when we moved into our new house in Houston we were hit with Hurricaine Ike, just days after we closed where we had some damage. So seeing the photos of FL bring all those terrible memories back.
Today I'm participating in a color challenge from Just Add Ink #623 along with an easy fun fold card.
I started with a Parakeet Party Cardstock base (11"x4.25') then cut 3" off one of the sides (don't throw the cut piece away) for the inside I used a normal 4"x5.25" Basic White Cardstock layer. I used a piece of 2022-24 In Color DSP to attach to the smaller ledge (2.25"x4). For the stamped image, I used a 2.75"x4" of Basic White Cardstock then stamped it using the True Beauty Stamp Set with Sweet Sorbet & Parakeet Party Ink Pads, then added a sentiment from the set using the Starry Sky Ink Pad. When I was done I attached it to the piece that was cut from the base of the card. I chose to have the bottom of the cut piece meet the inside piece of the Basic White Cardstock but you can really add it further up if you choose, you just have to make sure what you put inside can't be seen on the open sides. Lastly, I added a bow using the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack to finish the card off.
I have always been a Brights Family kind of girl, although I think I've shifted since a lot of my favorite colors have been retired. But the In-Colors for this year make me happy again & this color challenge was for me.
~Thanks for stopping by!
