True Beauty Fancy Fold

Hello stampers,

     Today's card I made for a Creativate Winter 2023 winter pre-challenge which is a fancy fold. I don't use a lot of Merry Merlot but I did for this card.

      I started with a Merry Merlot Cardstock base, cut off 1 1/4 from the base then down to 3/4 for the strap. I used Awash In Beauty DSP for the front part of the card & directly behind it on the inside. I adhered the strap to the inside of the card before adding the Basic White Cardstock layer over it, then adhered a small strip of DSP to add some interest instead of a blank white edge. I stamped one of the flowers from the True Beauty Stamp Set with Merry Merlot Ink, stamping off 3 times before stamping it onto Basic White Cardstock. The sentiment comes from the retired Happy Thoughts Stamp Set & was stamped using Memento Black Ink (I probably should have used Mossy Meadow but I wasn't thinking straight I guess, LOL!) The stamped image was then adhered to a Merry Merlot Cardstock square layer and then adhered to the strap, a 2nd square was added to the back so not to see the strap. To finish I added retired Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon to the strap.

     This shows a little bit of the card if it was open, just didn't have enough hands. LOL!

• Merry Merlot Cardstock:
  • Base – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
  • Square – 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
  • Strap- 3/4 x 4 /14 ( 1 1/4 cutoff from base)
• Basic White Cardstock:
  • Layer – 4 x 5 1/4
  • Image– 2 x 2
• Awash In Beauty DSP:
  • Layer – 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 (2)
  • Layer – 1 1/8 x 5 1/4
