Today I'm sharing a monochromatic card, still trying to use up some of the DSP I have. Again I'm using the Adorable Owls Stamp Set, it's just too dang cute not to. So as I looked through the new mini I stopped to look at the new St. Patrick's Day set & of course, that got me thinking of the color green & this is what I came up with.
I started with a square piece of Basic White Cardstock turned to make a diamond before stamping one of the owls from the Adorable Owls Stamp Set using Early Espresso Ink, coloring just the eyes & bow tie using Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. This piece was then backed by a square piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock. I used Design A Daydream DSP as the main layer and then backed it using Basic White Cardstock. For the sentiment, I stamped one from the set using Granny Apple Green Ink on Basic White Cardstock then die-cutting it using one of the word boxes in the Harvest Dies which was then popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals. After attaching the owl in place I then placed white Classic Matte Dots in each corner of the Granny Apple Green square piece.
