Hello stampers,
Did you get a chance to stamp this weekend? I did get a chance to make 1 card from Creativate & will have to try for more at a later date.
This card may look harder than it really is. You start off with 2 squares (Gray Granite Cardstock), one of which is turned like a diamond, making sure they are equal on all sides as much as possible & that the diamond is straight up & down (the easiest way to make sure that it is, is to use our grid paper.) You're going to take your 8 squares (retired Sun Prints DSP) & alternate them onto the 2 bigger squares, the 1st one you only will put the Multipurpose Glue on the right side corner then place it so that you have a border on the point, all the other squares will have glue on all 4 sides. The last square will need to be partly tucked under the 1st square that only had glue on 1 side. After finishing the pinwheel you can work on the rest of the card. I used Basic White Cardstock for the base, followed by a layer of Gray Granite Cardstock. For the background, I used a Basic White Cardstock layer & embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, then added the pinwheel using Stampin' Dimensionals. For the sentiment, I used the Wildlife Wonder Stamp Set with Gray Granite Ink on Basic White Cardstock & punched both ends using the Happy Labels Punch then added Stampin' Dimensionals before adding it to the card. For the center of the pinwheel, I used a white dot from the Enamel Dot Essentials.
