Hello stampers,
Is everyone ready for the weekend? What are your plans? I'll be watching the Creativate Fall Retreat tomorrow & hopefully getting ahead on making cards for the week. *fingers crossed* So I had a card planned for yesterday, but just as I was about to photograph it I decided to start putting things away & ended up dropping an open ink pad on top of it. UGH! So I ended up just going to bed disgusted & had plans to make a new one yesterday, but hubby stayed home from work in pain so I ended up spending time with him instead. Now to today's project which is totally different than the card I ruined but I decided to use that one for another day.
Today's project is a color challenge from the Paper Craft Crew Challenges #PCC539 which was to choose 2-3 colors from the image below. I chose to use Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon & Pebbled Path & turn it into an unconventional Christmas card. I started the card by stamping the Fragrant Forest Stamp Set onto Basic White Cardstock with Mossy Meadow Ink. I wrapped a piece of the retired Mossy Meadow Diagonal Stripe Ribbon in the center of the card before adding this focal point to a layer of Lost Lagoon Cardstock followed by a Pebble Path Cardstock base. For the sentiment, I used the Joy To You Stamp Set with Basic White Cardstock & Lost Lagoon Ink, then die-cut it using the Something Fancy Dies & popped it up using Stampin' Dimensionals before adding to the card over the ribbon. I added a few Sparkle Gems to complete my card.
What do you think about this color combo for a Christmas card?
