Farewell to Lighting The Way

Hello stampers,

I played around with the retiring Lighting The Way Stamp Set & Dies for today's card. I started with a Starry Sky Cardstock layer, then used Blending Brushes to add Starry Sky & Memento Black Ink to the top half of the layer. Next, I used a Water Painter with Craft White Ink to add splatter to look like stars & added the firefly trails using the same ink full on. I would probably mask off the lower part of the cardstock to make sure that you didn't get white on that half like I did. On the bottom part, I added a few of the leafy stamps included in the set using Memento Black Ink. I then used Basic Black, Crushed Curry & Basic White Cardstock with Copper Foil & die-cut the fireflies & lantern. For the lantern, I fussy cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock down to size to be the light source of the lantern then used Blending Brush to add Crushed Curry Ink before gluing it to the back of the Copper Foil. For the sentiment, I used Crushed Curry Cardstock with Memento Black Ink then used my Paper Snips to cut the ends diagonally.
